At Ridgeline Construction Group, our success is built on the passion, creativity, and dedication of our team members. This month, we’re celebrating a special milestone – 10 years with Interior Designer Maggie Madarasz.
Since joining the team a decade ago, Maggie has played an essential role in shaping not only the look and feel of Ridgeline homes but also the evolution of our in-house Design Studio. Her impact can be seen in every detail, from cabinetry layouts and foundational planning to the collaborative design process clients experience today.
A Role That Grew With the Company
When Maggie first joined Ridgeline, the Design Studio was still in its early stages. She started by working on tile layouts and selections, and gradually became more involved in the building and construction side of each project. Over time, her role evolved to include everything from foundation planning to framing coordination, helping clients think through their selections from the very beginning.
With every new project, her knowledge base expanded, and so did her contributions. “I came in with minimal construction knowledge, and I’ve learned so much,” she said. “That knowledge base has become a huge part of how I contribute to the design process.”
Building the Design Studio
One of Maggie’s biggest impacts has been on the Ridgeline Design Studio, a core part of the client experience. “A lot of builders wait until after the house is under construction to start thinking about selections,” she said. “At Ridgeline, we’re all about planning, planning, planning, and then executing. That helps us avoid mistakes, keep things on track, and ultimately save the client money.”
Maggie works closely with clients throughout the entire process, from foundational design to framing and finish selections. Even when she isn’t the lead designer, she remains involved to help ensure every decision supports the overall vision.
“I’m proud of how involved I get to be in every project,” she said. “And I’m proud of where I started. To go from having almost no construction knowledge to helping shape how we design homes today… that’s been really rewarding.”
It All Started With a Hockey Puck
One of Maggie’s favorite memories is how she first joined Ridgeline. “I wasn’t even seriously job hunting,” she said. “I stumbled across the listing on LinkedIn, and it felt like it was written just for me.”
After a call with Ray, she quickly arranged a trip to Greenville for an interview, even taking a sick day to make it happen. After accepting the offer, she was invited to join the team for a company outing at a Greenville Road Warriors hockey game (now the Swamp Rabbits), where they happened to be playing a team from her hometown in Southwest Florida.
“I caught a hockey puck at that game,” she said. “It felt like a sign, like everything was falling into place.” The Road Warriors won that night, and shortly after, Maggie began her journey with Ridgeline.
Since then, her journey has been full of growth and collaboration. Maggie credits much of her professional development to being part of such a strong, team-oriented company. “The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to lean on other people,” she said. “Things will always come up on a project; you just need to coordinate, be receptive, and find the solution together.”
A Culture That Feels Like Home
It’s not just the work that keeps Maggie at Ridgeline, it’s also the people who feel like family. “We joke around, we support each other, and I really do love these people like family,” she said. “That kind of culture makes a huge difference. I look forward to coming to work.”
Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she’s a graduate of the FSU Interior Design Program, an ASID Professional, and an NCIDQ Certificate Holder. Outside of the office, Maggie enjoys life in the Upstate with her husband and two preschool-aged daughters.
Her family loves swimming, traveling, and taking spontaneous adventures, and Maggie’s passion for thoughtful design carries through in all parts of her life.
