Bringing a Vision to Life
After living in Greenville for over 30 years, Brian and Lisa envisioned a second home that would allow them to enjoy everything the city has to offer. Before their lake house was even complete, they were already planning their downtown retreat – a contemporary, open-concept space designed for both everyday living and entertaining.
“We loved the idea of having a place downtown,” Lisa said. “With Ridgeline, we had such a great experience the first time that we knew we wanted to work with them again.”
Their condo was part of a larger development, requiring the demolition of an old bank building to make way for 18 new residences. Ridgeline’s expertise in navigating complex builds made them the perfect fit for the project.

Another defining feature of the home is its white oak ceilings – a design choice that added warmth and character but also presented unique construction challenges. In a high-rise setting with a service elevator as the only means of transport, installing large-scale materials required precise coordination.
“Everything had to be brought up piece by piece, and Ridgeline made it happen,” Lisa said. “With them, there was never a ‘we can’t do that.’ They always found a way.”
The condo was also built to maximize stunning city views, with thoughtful design choices that bring in natural light and frame the downtown skyline.
A Seamless Building Experience
Having built in the same development, the Stritts’ neighbors shared their own stories of construction challenges – but their experience with Ridgeline was completely different.
“We’ve talked to so many people about their building process, and it wasn’t always smooth for them,” Lisa said. “But that was never our experience. We felt like Ridgeline truly cared about our home and about making sure everything was done right.”
Throughout the process, Ridgeline’s team was proactive in solving problems before they reached the homeowners. One of the biggest challenges was securing materials during a time when supply chains were strained.
“Our kitchen has a large marble island, and it cracked five times before they finally got a perfect piece,” Lisa recalled. “But Ridgeline never gave up, never shrugged their shoulders. They just kept working until it was right.”
The nature of condo construction also meant coordinating with multiple contractors and neighboring tenants, adding complexity to the timeline. Despite these challenges, Ridgeline ensured the process remained as seamless and stress-free as possible.
“Ray always told us, ‘If this ever stops being fun, let me know,’” Lisa said. “That’s the mindset they have – making it work and keeping the process enjoyable.”
